Slipway
The Slipway is a very popular shopping & leisure centre, unique in its kind in Dar es Salaam. Dar es Salaam Museum
This natural history museum exhibits numerous bones and other fossilized remains, including a cast of one family’s footprint trail left in volcanic ash over 3.5 million years ago! Its most famous exhibits include some bones of Paranthropus boisei that were among the findings of Louis Leakey at Olduvai. The museum also has a large section dedicated to the Shirazi city-state of Kilwa. More historical miscellaneous material is related to the German and British rule, and ancient Chinese pottery. Dar es Salaam Fish Market
If you love seafood as much as much as we do - then this place would be heavenly to visit. The Dar Es Salaam fish market consists of a rowdy exciting fish auction as well as a calmer side where vendors sell their catch throughout the day.
Sample the many kinds of seafood that are available there, most of which are usually freshly caught on the same day. Try out everything from the octopus, squid, shrimp, prawns or any of the fish that the fishermen were lucky to have caught on that day, all for as low as 5 USD. A variety of the other local dishes are available as well such as fries, chapati (morning) and rice.
Oysterbay Dar es Salaam
Oyster Bay is located north west of Dar es Salaam's central business district along the Indian Ocean. Europeans have resided here since colonial times. Since independence, Europeans working for development aid organizations, and senior government officials, including ministers, permanent secretaries and directors and commissioners, reside here. In the evening, the beach side [ Coco beach ] transforms into a bustling scene of vendors selling mouth watering local handmade dishes.

Pugu Hills Day Trip [Hiking]
The Pugu Forest Reserve is a forest reserve in Pwani Region, Tanzania. It is located in the Pugu Hills area, near Dar es Salaam, adjacent to the Kazimzumbwi Forest Reserve. Together with Kazimzumbwi, the Pugu Forest (previously known as Mogo Forest) is part of what is considered to be one of the oldest forests in the world. The area is characterized by a large number of endemic species of animals and plants.
Hike your way to a cave that is a sacred place to the Zaramo people, a colorful local cattle market, and some bat-populated caves (these are especially fascinating at sunset, when bat fly out of the cave in large flocks).
Pugu Hills Day Trip [Bird Watching]
The number of bird species in Pugu Hills is surprising. The most enchanting birds at the centre are the trumpeter hornbill, the crowned horn-bill family in the valley around the entrance gate flocks of wood-hoop. The vocal kingfishers always sounding alerted.
In the undergrowth it is hard to miss the red capped robin chat and the water birds start to discover the fish around our nature pool like the hammerkopf.
Several seasonal visitors include the Narina Trogon, Dark backed weaver who did not yet manage to really breed with nest falling from the bamboo.
Occasional exiting sightings include the African pitta, a Southern ground hornbill and recently a Sokoke Pipit
Mbudya/ Bongoyo Island
Mbudya Island (or simply Mbudya) is an uninhabited island in Tanzania, north of the country's commercial capital city, Dar es Salaam and is one of the four islands of the Dar es Salaam Marine Reserve (DMRS).
Bongoyo Island also joins the list of the uninhabited islands in Tanzania and is one of the most visited ones too!
Both Islands offer spectacularly pristine water to swim, snorkel and enjoy the day the beach!
